Arbitration law in India is governed by the Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (ICA). This act provides for the establishment of arbitration tribunals and for the recognition and enforcement of arbitration agreements. The ICA also makes arbitration available as a substitute for litigation in certain circumstances.
