TAMIL NADU REAL ESTATE APPELLATE TRIBUNAL
The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, has been made official by the government of India. The Tamil Nadu Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Rules, 2017, were notified by G.O.Ms.No.112, Housing and Urban Development Department, dated 22.06.2017. The Tamil Nadu Real Estate Appellate Tribunal (TNREAT) was established by the government to hear appeals from the judgements, orders, or directives of the Adjudicating Officer and the Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TNRERA), as well as for matters related to or incidental to those judgements. The government has authorised TNREAT to hear appeals pertaining to the Union Territory of Puducherry through G.O.Ms. No. 103, Housing and Urban Development Dept., dated 24.07.2018.
Any person who feels wronged by any orders, decisions, or directions made under this Act by the Authority or the Adjudicating Officer may file an appeal with the relevant appellate tribunal. A fee of Rs. 2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) must be submitted online with each appeal made in accordance with Section 44, subsection (1) of the Act. Each appeal must be submitted on Form “L” and include the following materials:
(a) A true copy of the order against which the appeal is filed that has been attested;
(b) Copies of the records cited in the appeal and cited by the appellate;
(c) The documents’ index;
